The Green Bay Packers signed guard Allen Barbre, the team's fifth of 11 draft selections. Barbre , a 6-foot-4, 300-pound player from Missouri Southern State, was selected in the fourth round (119th overall) of the 2007 NFL draft.

The Packers have a real gem with this guy he has all the athletic ability and tremendous speed he will definitely make an impact on the offensive line in the future.

The Green Bay Packers Wednesday signed RB DeShawn Wynn and TE Clark Harris, the final two players they selected in the 2007 NFL Draft, and released C Pete Bier and DT Devarick Scandrett. Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson made the announcement.

Wynn, a 5-foot-10, 232-pound selection out of Florida, was the Packers' first of two seventh-round choices (228th overall). After Brandon Jackson, selected five rounds earlier in the same draft, Wynn became just the second running back chosen by the Packers since 2002. He was Florida's leading ground-gainer each of the past two years, including its National Championship season of 2006. Among freshmen in Florida annals, his seven rushing TDs in 2003 ranked third in school history, trailing only Emmitt Smith (13 in 1987) and Fred Taylor (eight in 1994).

Harris, a 6-foot-5, 256-pound choice from Rutgers, was Green Bay's final 2007 selection (243rd overall), the first tight end selected by Green Bay since David Martin in 2001. Despite playing in a run-oriented college offense, Harris caught 143 career passes for 2,015 yards and 11 touchdowns. He helped turn around a Rutgers program that went 1-11 in 2002 and finished 11-2 with a second straight bowl appearance in 2006.

The Milwaukee Brewers game last night was a beautiful thing to watch. Although Brewers pitcher Ben Sheets got his 9th win of the season, he did struggle early. Playing at home the Milwaukee Brewers have been especially sweet, they are an NL-best 28-13 at Miller Park and have won 10 of their last 12 games since being no-hit by the Tigers' Justin Verlander on June 12. We need the Brewers to keep the ball rollin'!

Jenkins jack shoots Brewers past bothersome Rangers

Milwaukee Brewers Geoff Jenkins wasn't by any means having a career outing against the Texas Rangers Sunday night. Jenkins went 0-for-5 before coming up to bat in the 12th inning and crushing a 3-run blast to center to salvage the weekend series with the Rangers that ended with the Brewers only able to take 1 game from the bothersome Texas Rangers in a 3 game series.

Green Bay Packer release 2 O-Lineman

Kevin Barry's once-promising career with the Green Bay Packers ended Friday when the team cut the backup offensive lineman.
Also released was left tackle Josh Bourke, who less than a month ago was practicing at minicamp as the primary backup to Chad Clifton. Both Barry (torn quadriceps tendon) and Burke (back) missed the entire 2006 season with injuries.

The Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs I witnessed on Tuesday night went without a single hitch. The tickets my brother purchased from Ticket King, a local ticket broker in the Milwaukee area were will-called at the stadium something that I originally was very weary of. I mentioned in the previous post how I was concerned about driving 2 hours to Milwaukee without the tickets in hand, all the concern was for nothing when we received the tickets and went on into Miller Park to watch the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs.

In about 15 minutes I will be getting in the car and heading for the Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs game tonight. My brother was able to obtain tickets from a ticket broker in Milwaukee known as I guess, Ticket King. We are suppose to pick the tickets up right at the stadium via the will-call window. I am extremely excited and hope the Brewers can get a will needed win over the Cubs. I am a little leery about heading down to Milwaukee without the tickets in hand but I was told by another colleague that I have absolutely nothing to worry about. He said he has dealt with this particular ticket outfit before and assured me that I have nothing to worry about. So here I go!!!

The Milwaukee Brewers recent troubles apparently have been remedied by some home cookin'. Ben Sheets pitched 6 shutout innings to give the Brewers a 3-1 series win over the Florida Marlins.

No rest for these beer makers though, the Chicago Cubs are in town today to start off a 3 game series. I would really love to see the Mlwaukee Brewers sweep the Piniellaless Chicago Cubs today. Chicago Cubs skipper Lou Piniella was ejected from Sundays 10-1 win over the Atalnta Braves, he will also sit for todays game at Miller Park against your very own Milwaukee Brewers. Go Brew!!!

The Green Bay Packers posted an impressive victory last season over the minimal Minnesota Vikings. This year I have plans to go to the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome to watch the Green Bay Packers again embarrass the Minnesota Vikings in there own back yard. I've always searched for the best route to obtain Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers tickets and finally I think I may have the end all answer. A relative who lives in the Minnesota area told me about vikingstickets.com a website that not only has he used but also he trust.
With the major hurdle of obtaining tickets overcome, now all we need is the Minnesota Vikings to have enough guys to field a team (alot of them may be in jail). The Vikings were unable to beat the Packers at all last year and with there situation up there I don't see things changing, Tarvaris who?

Rumor has it that the June 23rd Milwaukee Brewers vs Kansas City Royals game at Miller Park will have represenatives from the Guinness Book of World Records on hand to see if there will be a record broken. What is the record you ask? Miller Park, already known for its great smell of cooking brats prior to the game, will have a gentlemen attempting to set the world record for cooking the most brats by one man at one time! Supposedly the current record is over 3,000 brats, so it will definitely be interesting to see this man attempt this marvelous feat!

I, J Kid will be on hand for the show and the game to follow. I will be drinking great Miller products and trying to get my hands on the surplus of brats that were involved the record setting cook off! We all hope to see where the 7 foot grill lies.

Former Florida Gator running back DeShaun Wynn was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round in this years NFL draft. I feel Wynn whos' Gator team won the National Chapionship will be a great addition to the Green Bay Packers running attack. Playing a versatile role in the Urban Meyer system, he will have the opportunity to play an "ace" backfield system where he can be used as a fullback when in a two back set and a halfback in a single back set. Wynn ran a 4.47 40 yard dash at the NFL combine thats 7 tenths of a second slower than Adrian Peterson who selected by the Minnesota Vikings with 7th pick of the draft. Wynn has had some attitude issues but says he is ready to play in Green Bay and is ready to silence all the critics.

General manager rejects Browns' trade offer for first-round pick???

The Green Bay Packers turned down a trade offer from the Cleveland Browns on Saturday that would have brought them another first-round draft choice in 2008. I really hope Justin Harrell has some sort of impact this year. I feel that this decision may have been a mistake considering the recent plight of the Cleveland Browns. If you were to trade the '07 pick you could almost assure yourself of having a top 15 pick in '08. Therefore if Harrell doesn't produce immediately then why not trade back and gain a few more selections. Besides we all know that it is Ted Thompson's goal to walk out of the draft with more players than he had selections.

Looks like the Green Bay Packers will be giving former Wisconsin Badger quarterback John Stocco a tryout. The Packers also have given a tryout to Louisiana-Lafayette quarterback Jerry Babb who hopes to follow the same footsteps as Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme who also attended Louisiana-Lafayette and came into the NFL as an undrafted player.

I like the fact that the Packers have snatched these guys up immediately after the draft in hopes to produce more competition amongst the rookie players as well as some of the veterans.

Green Bay Packer tickets will be easier to obtain now that the Packers were unable to solidify there receiving core with former Oakland Raider wide receiver Randy Moss. I was speaking to a friend about the possibility of obtaining Green Bay Packer tickets for the upcoming season. He told me that he often times uses Jason at Ticket King in Green Bay. In fact he told me that they are located across the street from the stadium. We were very interested in the possibilty going to the Minnesota Vikings game at Lambeau Field, and we were concerned as to were the demand for tickets would be had the Packers been able to secure the Randy Moss deal.

Now we don't have to worry about the demand being so high that we wouldn't be able to afford to go. I am excited for the upcoming season and the possibility of getting my fat ass inside Lambeau Field for a game or 2!

The word on the wire is that the Green Bay Packers have made an offer for the elite Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson. My immediate concern, is whter L.J. is a good fit for the area. Also with Kansas City Chiefs limbo quaterback Trent Green seemingly on way his way to the Miami Dolphins, the Chiefs may be in the market for a young quaterback to back up Damon Huard and eventually take over as there starting signal caller........This is where Aaron Rodgers may come into the deal. I personally feel that letting Rodgers go before you know what you have is a mistake but if it will help Brett Favre get back to the Super Bowl I am all for it.

L.J. on the block?

Kansas City Chief running back Larry Johnson has officially been put on the trading block and there has been talk of the possiblity of the Green Bay Packers trading for this guy. I personally don't think Larry Johnson is good fit for the team or the area. Johnson is heading into the last year of his contract and is seeking a new deal that would eclipse the eight-year, $60 million contract given to San Diego running back LaDainian Tomlinson two years ago, before the NFL's salary-cap increased 36 percent. With the salary-cap skyrocketing, so is Johnson's asking price, and rightfully so.
The 2007 NFL draft is this weekend and I am excited to see if the Green Bay Packers are going to make a splash, possibly with the acquisition of Oakland Raider wide reciever Randy Moss or San Diego running back Michael Turner. Whatever happens there is only one thing that I know for sure, and that is I will be watching close!

I feel that the hype surrounding the possible acquisition of Randy Moss may or may not put a strain on the relationship between Favre and coach Mike McCarthy. In some ways this trade could add a new dynamic to the already strong relationship. I feel the free agent acquisition of Charles Woodson last year may have made it easier for the Packers to even consider such a R-rated move if u will. On the other hand, it could begin to tear it down if Moss continues his preschool antics. As much as I would like to see the trade happen and the Packers benefit tremendously, I am skeptical of the outcome! GO PACK!
